Bookings, events and casual barbecues

Use Recreation Facility Rentals for park event space, River Landing venues and outdoor sports facilities. Public festivals and events on city land use Outdoor Special Events and Festivals instead. Tournament bookings have a separate Sport Fields route.

Barbecue sites in selected parks are first come, first served, without a booking. The Civic Conservatory is marked temporarily closed, so its wedding and photo-session link does not establish availability.

Work access and commercial activities

A park-access permit is required to cross city park land to reach private property for work. The examples include landscaping, construction, tree removal, renovations, decks, fences and pools. This is distinct from hiring a picnic or event space.

Seasonal commercial enterprises selling goods or services in parks need their own approval and must support sport, recreation or cultural activity. Drone use has separate safety and privacy restrictions. Contact Parks at 306-975-3300 with the location and proposed activity before choosing an application.
