Zones, permit types and prices

Regular RPP zones are Caswell Hill, City Park and Varsity View. Limited RPP zones are J.J. Thiessen, Pleasant Hill, Riversdale, South Caswell Hill, Grosvenor Park and Nutana East. Renewal years differ by zone. Limited zones are not continuously patrolled; residents report overtime parking to 306-975-8344.

The annual resident fee is $25 plus tax for RPP and $15 plus tax for LRPP. A visitor pass costs $5 plus tax with a resident permit, or $25 plus tax instead of one. Temporary permits are $1 per day plus tax. Resident permits are tied to one vehicle. Visitor passes are transferable, with one per eligible residence and block-face restrictions.

Proof, limits and display

Buy permits at City Hall, 222 Third Avenue North, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. Bring a current driver’s licence, vehicle registration and one accepted address document: a utility or communications bill, landlord confirmation or lease. A principal operator who is not the owner needs the owner’s affidavit; corporate vehicles need employment or ownership proof.

Most eligible units have a maximum of three resident permits. Special non-conforming multi-unit rules can lower this to two and prevent visitor or temporary permits. Ask 306-975-2400 about eligibility before purchasing. Resident, limited and temporary permits go inside the driver-side front window; visitor permits hang on the rear-view-mirror support.
